Dr Morvwen Duncan is a HCPC (The Health and Care Professions Council) registered Clinical Psychologist offering assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people for a range of mental health difficulties. This includes supporting young people who are experiencing low mood, anxiety and difficulties forming or maintaining relationships. She also provides support to parents and carers for children with challenging behaviour.
Dr Morvwen Duncan is experienced in working with children and young people of all ages, including children with complex needs due to neurodevelopmental co-morbidities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. She has experience working therapeutically with young people and their parents adjusting and coping with long-term health conditions. Dr Morvwen Duncan has also worked with young people with adverse early life experiences, often relating to abuse and neglect.
Dr Morvwen Duncan provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessment to identify learning strengths and areas of difficulties, and to screen for general and/or specific learning difficulties. Her therapeutic work utilises a number of tailored therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and includes systemic and parenting approaches. She is also trained in delivering behavioural therapies for tic disorders and Tourette syndrome.

Current research interests include exploring the development and treatment of functional tics, as well as the impact of early traumatic experiences on adopted children and adoptive parents. Previous research projects include investigating the impact of paediatric demyelinating disorders and post-stroke aphasia.
