Dr Trung Nguyen
Overview
Dr Trung Nguyen is an Australian consultant paediatric oncologist with special interests in the management of children and young people with sarcoma, Langerhans cell histiocytosis and histiocytic disorders, and rare tumours.
Dr Nguyen's training in general paediatrics and specialisation in paediatric oncology were undertaken at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He was awarded the Australasian and New Zealand Children's Haematology & Oncology Group (ANZCHOG) fellowship program to undertake further sub-specialist training overseas, and completed fellowships in haematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation at St Mary's Hospital (London), University College London Hospital (UCLH), and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He was appointed as a consultant paediatric oncologist in London in 2020.
Dr Nguyen is a member of European and international study groups in sarcoma, histiocytic disorders, and rare tumours. He is a member of national advisory panels and chairs the UK Histiocytosis Advisory Panel. He is an investigator for a number of clinical trials and is a lecturer at University College London and Barts Cancer Institute.
