Overview

The Renal Unit provides a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment service for children with kidney disorders. It is the largest paediatric renal unit in the UK.

As well as renal replacement therapy (RRT), we cover every other aspect of paediatric nephrology with special expertise in congenital renal anomalies, nephrotic syndrome, hypertension, vasculitis, tubular, metabolic and stone disorders.

The Renal Unit has strong working links with Urology, Rheumatology, Radiology and Pathology departments and works closely with the urological service providing comprehensive management of infants and children with complex nephro-urological disorders.
