GOSH signed MoU with the Ministry of Health in Kuwait

04/04/2024

We were honoured to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health in Kuwait for a three-year partnership, furthering the long-standing relationship between GOSH and the State of Kuwait. This Memorandum of Understanding will enable us to explore opportunities across eleven different areas of work.

This is a significant time to strengthen ties as the United Kingdom and the State of Kuwait celebrate the 125th anniversary of official diplomatic relations, with 2024 declared by the two governments the year of the Kuwaiti - British partnership.

Our partnership will cover a range of opportunities to promote the well-being and health of children in Kuwait. This collaboration will unlock opportunities to assist in the development of speciality paediatrics in Kuwait, supported by our GOSH experts.  Further amplifying our dedication and support to paediatric healthcare and education in Kuwait through innovative collaborations and long-term partnerships.

"We are looking forward to this collaboration. We are excited about this next chapter of the relationship we have together," said Matthew Shaw, Chief Executive Officer at GOSH.

“GOSH and Kuwait have developed a long and well-established relationship over many decades. In 2010, we exchanged experience and expertise to ensure children in Kuwait had the best possible paediatric oncology care, this MoU enables us to continue to commit to Kuwait and assist in further developing the specialist paediatric health within Kuwait,” said Chris Rockenbach, Managing Director International and Commercial at GOSH.
