Overview

The Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (DCAMH) provides highly specialised assessment and treatment of mental and behaviour disorders in both children and adolescents. Our services are offered within a specialist setting, and are appropriate to age, clinical and educational need.

The DCAMH includes the Mildred Creak Unit, which is an intensive intervention unit with space for 10 patients aged seven to 15 years (7 inpatient beds and 3 day places). The unit cares for children with a range of mental health problems such as eating disorders, somatising disorders and other emotional and behavioural disorders.
