Overview

Dr Jenny Parker is a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with expertise in a wide range of neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Dr Parker is interested in identification of mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression occurring alongside neurodevelopmental disorders which can have a significant impact on the child or young person's ability to take part in day to day activities. Dr Parker recognises the complexity of mental health conditions and is interested in the links between neurodevelopmental conditions, physical health, mental health and family and education settings.

Dr Parker has significant experience of providing psychopharmacological interventions alongside psychological interventions using evidence-based treatments as per national guidelines and broader clinical research case. Dr Parker works with a multidisciplinary team at Great Ormond Street Hospital and will offer consultations alongside colleagues as needed to provide a holistic assessment and recommendation. 

Dr Jenny Parker is also the consultant lead of a multidisciplinary team within a specialist residential school where her role is to coordinate care and direct clinical input for young people with complex presentations of Autism.
