Dr Zaynah Muthy is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in Paediatrics. She currently works part time at Great Ormond Street Hospital, supporting young people and families living with a Cancer diagnosis, but also works with a range of other acute, chronic and lifelong physical health conditions. She has extensive experience working with children, young people and their parents and is known for a warm and empathetic approach.
Dr Zaynah Muthy integrates various therapeutic models to understand and treat psychological distress, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Systemic approaches. She is trained in administering cognitive assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness and has a rich background of working in diverse clinical settings such as Early Intervention for Psychosis, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS), and in Memory Services for Older Adults. She has experience working with a range of psychological issues including anxiety, stress, low mood, adjustment to living, and coping with long-term health conditions. Additionally, she offers parental support to manage behaviours that challenge and anxiety in children.
With a strong commitment to improving mental health outcomes for young people and families, Dr Zaynah Muthy continues to advance her practice through ongoing professional development and research.
